How this site makes money.

Some links in these guides are affiliate links. If you click one and book or buy something, I earn a small commission. It costs you nothing extra, and the price you pay is the same as it would be if you'd gone there directly.

What that covers

Mostly the practical stuff I already write about: eSIMs and travel data, accommodation, transit passes and airport transfers, tickets and day tours, and the occasional product I actually pack. Affiliate links appear inside guides and in the resources list at the bottom of a post.

I work with travel affiliate networks, including Travelpayouts, which means some outbound links are routed through a tracking redirect before they reach the merchant. That redirect is the only thing it changes about your click.

What it doesn't change

I don't recommend anything I haven't used, and I don't add a link to something just because it pays. Where a paid option is worse than a free one, the guide says so and links the free one. Where the honest answer is "skip this," the guide says skip it, and there's nothing to click.

If a recommendation ever stops being true, the fix is to change the guide, not to leave the link up. Tell me if you catch one.

Sponsored work

If a brand pays me to write or film something, it is labeled as sponsored on the page or in the post itself, every time, without you having to look for it. Nothing on this site is sponsored today.

Analytics and third-party scripts

This site loads a link-monetization script from Travelpayouts that identifies which outbound links are affiliate links and attributes clicks. It does not ask you to log in and I don't sell anything about you to anyone.
